MEDIA RELEASE: New partner CSG announced at Smart Cities Week Australia, Sydney

Smart Cities Council Australia New Zealand (SCCANZ) today announced that CSG (NASDAQ: CSGS), the trusted partner to simplify the complexity of business transformation in the digital age, has joined the Council as Associate Partner.

The announcement coincided with CSG’s participation in this week’s Smart Cities Week, Australia Conference, in Sydney supported by SCCANZ.

“As Smart Cities scale they need automation and efficiency to deliver excellence to their citizens.  They need to find new ways to manage the devices, data and services they are delivering, often in collaboration with partners.” SCCANZ Executive Director Adam Beck explained, “CSGs participation in the Smart City Council will assist Smart Cities as they work on strategies to operate efficiently and deliver the personalized services that citizens value.”

CSG’s sponsorship of the SCCANZ comes at a time when regional smart cities are focused on long-term planning including service implementation strategies, the establishment of partner ecosystems and ways to fund initiatives that reflect the value they bring to the community.

“CSG offers a full suite of strategic software solutions for smart cities – from cloud-first digital BSS solutions, to field force management and enabling digital business transformation. Our mission is to help tackle the complexity of delivering an outstanding experience to citizens along with operational efficiencies, across the myriads of emerging services, devices and partners,” said Ian Watterson, CSG Head of Americas and Asia-Pacific. “We are seeing the emergence of services being provided under a user pay system rather than the “fixed” rates model that is common today. This combined with the evolution of complex partner ecosystem are areas that CSG’s expertise can be incredibly valuable to Smart Cities.”
