Accelerating smart city efforts with mentoring and benefits from leading experts and organisations
Commencing in 2018, the Smart Cities Council ANZ will be facilitating it's Smart Cities Readiness Challenge, a program whereby the Council invites free of charge, government organisations across Australia and New Zealand to attend it's acclaimed smart cities readiness incubator. The Smart Cities Readiness Challenge interactive application process helps applicants build and refine their vision. The 2018 grant program was expanded to include all levels of government, from states, territories and provinces to cities and regional authorities.
The winners each receive a table at the Smart Cities Readiness Incubator, an intensive 2-day leadership training program on smart cities ‘readiness’, which includes guidance and mentoring from industry leaders, participation in mobile workshops, and deep peer exchange. This opportunity also brings with it global publicity through Smart Cities Council’s digital media platform - smartcitiescouncil.com. All Readiness Challenge winners are offered the opportunity to join a global network of previous winners from cities such as Austin, Philadelphia and Miami. Winners will also participate in Smart Cities Week in Sydney in late October 2018, where they will be showcased and share their journey with peers, and other industry stakeholders.
