SCCANZ is supporting a range of important events this year that complement our own Smart Cities Week Australia conference in October in Sydney (29-31) –

There are many smart cities events in the marketplace, but here we take the guesswork out of it for you.

1.     KPMG IoT Innovation Expo – Smart Cities & Connected Infrastructure, 7 June, Sydney

SCC ANZ members are invited to attend the KPMG IoT Innovation Expo – Smart Cities and Connected Infrastructure on 7 June in Sydney, please email  to register your interest (limited complimentary tickets remaining).

The expo will showcase a range of IoT innovations from emerging and established technology vendors, providing the opportunity to engage with the ecosystem and go 'hands-on' to see real-life solutions in action. 2.     The World Cities Summit - 8-12 July, Singapore

The World Cities Summit is an exclusive platform for government leaders and industry experts to address liveable and sustainable city challenges, share integrated urban solutions and forge new partnerships. Over the past decade, the Summit has achieved global recognition with a credible gathering of the best minds in planning and urban development.

Themed “Liveable & Sustainable Cities: Embracing the Future through Innovation and Collaboration”, the 6th World Cities Summit in 2018 will explore how cities can be more liveable and resilient through better governance and planning, technology and social innovations, as well as collaborations with various stakeholders and with other cities. Through shared vision and active engagement, the public, private and people sectors can co-create innovative and integrated urban solutions for a more sustainable future.

The event is co-organised by the Centre for Liveable Cities and the Urban Redevelopment Authority, and is held in conjunction with the Singapore International Water Week, the CleanEnviro Summit Singapore, and the Singapore International Transport Congress and Exhibition.

3.     World of Drones Congress – 8-10 August, Brisbane

The inaugural World of Drones 2017 (WoDC 2017) was held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from 31 August to 2 September 2017. Over 630 delegates from across the Asia Pacific and beyond attended and the congress featured a fascinating Expo with over 30 exhibitors from Australia, China and Japan. The program included the launch of Australia’s very first state-wide Drones Strategy by the Premier of Queensland and the first Australian National Drone Safety Forum.

4.     Internet of Things Alliance Australia IoT Impact Conference – 10-11 September, Sydney

This inaugural event held in Australia will give you the insight and intelligence you need to navigate this rapidly shifting landscape of the Internet of Things. 5.     IPWEA Study Tour to Smart City Expo World Congress – 10-18 November, Barcelona

We are proud to invite you to join us in the 2018 Smart City Expo World Congress, Barcelona Immersion Tour. Whilst the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia is the lead tour organiser, this is an all-of-industry collaborative effort between the Smart Cities Council Australia New Zealand (SCCANZ), the Australian Smart Communities Association (ASCA), and with the full endorsement and participation of Austrade.
