Submission to Australian Government Smart Cities and Suburbs Program Guidelines

Tue, 2017-01-24 09:00 -- Adam Beck

Since his re-election in July 2016, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has been advancing his Smart Cities Plan for the nation via the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet under the stewardship of Assistant Minister The Hon Angus Taylor MP. The $50M Smart Cities and Suburbs Program has been a key feature of the Plan, which saw the release of the program's draft guidelines in late 2016.

The Smart Cities Movement is a global one, it know’s no boundaries. As the world's largest network of smart cities practitioners and policy makers, it is only natural that Smart Cities Council Australia New Zealand (SCCANZ) has been and will continue to work closely with the team shaping the Smart Cities and Suburbs Program, to ensure this important investment maximises outcomes in the region.

On Friday 20th January SCCANZ submitted its detailed submission.
